Information Filtration


In the world we live in, we have access to too much information. Too much in the sense that we could never reasonably analyze and digest all the information to which we are exposed. It has become extremely important to be able to filter the information. Google has become an invaluable tool in doing so. Wikipedia. And so on.

This video illustrates my point well, one of my favorite quotes:

Twitter Filter

The latest tool that has proven to be invaluable in communication and information propagation is Twitter. This article explains the power of twitter better than I. Enjoy! I like number 5, it reminds me of Midnight Express. Imagine if Billy Hayes had twitter on his cell, maybe his life would be different. But then again, if he did have twitter, maybe we wouldn’t have that story and all our lives would be different…
